Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler has finally come clean about his trip to rehab last month. The 60-year-old rocker and addict reveals that he was fighting dependency to prescription drugs that were prescribed to him post surgery.
Tyler spoke told the Associated Press, "To have your feet done, to have your leg done, you have to be on narcotics. You have to be on sleep aids at night… I just put the brakes on and checked into detox and just pulled the plug on all of it."
Tyler says that he has been sober since 1986 when he went to rehab for addiction to drugs and alcohol.

Academy Award-winning actress Tatum O’Neal was arrested after buying crack cocaine near her home in Manhattan’s lower East Side. Police say that O’Neal was seen making the purchase around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. She is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and is expected to be arraigned sometime today

CNN International's business travel specialist, Richard Quest, was arrested early Friday morning and booked on a misdemeanor charge of drug possession.
Authorities say that Quest was found wandering around Central Park at 3:40am - way past the park's curfew.
Police were escorting Quest out of the park when he voluntarily told them, "I have meth in my pocket”

After he was searched, officers did find in his possession a small amount of methamphetamine in a Ziploc bag. Quest was arraigned in Manhattan's Criminal Court and ordered to attend counseling and therapy for the next six months or else land behind bars.

A Bahamian jury took two hours of deliberations before deciding that there was no foul play in the death of the 20 year-old. An autopsy was conducted after Daniel's death in September of 2006, indicated that his death was most likely the result of a lethal mix of antidepressants and methadone.
British singer Corinne Bailey Rae has finally released a statement, almost a week after the death of her saxophonist husband, Jason Rae, of a suspected drug overdose.

Jim Carrey is the latest celebrity to take on the role of author. Carey is set to pen a self-help book about battling depression.
He says, "I dealt with depression for a while by medicating with Prozac and although it was good for dealing with the problem there and then, I wasn't getting to the bottom of my anger and frustration…I think we have a real problem these days in that everything is treated with a drug. I think there's a whole new way of healing depression that doesn't require drugs, and I'm writing a book about it. Who better than a comedian to talk about depression right?"
It’s about time someone in tinsel town spoke the truth! Celebs often gobble down prescription drugs like candy. There are so many unscrupulous doctors that are more than willing to write a prescription to someone not even suffering from depression if the price is right. Hopefully Jim’s book will be helpful in preventing more celeb addiction and even death.
