Corinne Releases Statement

British singer Corinne Bailey Rae has finally released a statement, almost a week after the death of her saxophonist husband, Jason Rae, of a suspected drug overdose.

Corinne’s rep says:

“Corinne Bailey Rae and her family have been touched by the huge amount of love and support that's flooded in from all over the world, and that is really helping all of us cope at this terrible time. Corinne is also very grateful for the privacy she is being given and the respect that has been paid to herself and Jason.”

Corinne Bailey Rae’s Husband Overdose

British soul singer, Corinne Bailey Rae’s, Saxophonist husband, Jason Rae, was found dead in his apartment in the U.K. on Saturday. The cause of death appears to be from a drug overdose.

A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs but has since been released on police bail.

Many British celebs have a very casual attitude when it comes to illegal drugs…I sure hope that Corinne isn’t following the trend. Our condolences go out to her and her husband’s families.
