Eva Mendes Goes To Rehab

Actress Eva Mendez, has reportedly been staying at the Cirque Lodge in Utah, where she is receiving treatment for issues stemming from substance abuse.

Eva checked ino the facility several weeks ago and according to TMZ, Eva's rep says, "Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support."

Wow! I would have never imagined that Eva Mendez would have a substance abuse problem. I guess you just never know what skeletons are in someone's closet.

Michael Jackson was spotted at the Luxor Casino in Las Vegas, with his children, Paris and Prince Michael. Michael covered his face as usual, but the kids faces were in full view and shockingly they're really cute kids! I guess they would be considering that their dad wasn't bad looking until he mutilated his face with cosmetic surgery.

...But what gives? The King of Crazy normally dosen't allow his kid's faces to be seen let alone photographed. It’s been rumored that Michael is hard up for cash. I wouldn’t be surprised if he's pimping out photos of the kids to help pay the bills.

More Drama For Britney

There was major drama at Britney’s house last night. The LAPD responded to the Summit, the gated community where Britney lives, because reportedly, photographers (mainly Adnan Ghalib) breached security and tried to get to Brit's house but was denied access.

Britney, who was hospitalized in a psych ward on January 3 after a meltdown at her home, was spotted outside her home crying as she sat on a curb holding her dog. When asked if she was ok, she responded, "I'm fine... I'm sitting for once and having a nice time with my dog."

Shortly afterwards, she returned to her home and both of Brit’s parents, Jamie and Lynne, arrived on the scene, but Britney left in an SUV, headed towards Beverly Hills, with another photographer, believed to be Adnan's pal Filipe Teixeira who dropped her off at another location where she met up with Adnan.

Adnan released the following statement via his photo agency, FinalPixx:

"The truth is that Sam Lutfi started an argument with Britney and the two ended up in a screaming fight. Sam continued to verbally abuse Britney as she sat barefoot on the curb at her Summit home crying holding her dog London."Britney called Adnan for help and he heard the distress in her voice and drove to the Summit immediately. While outside the gates he was denied access as Sam Lutfi had informed the guards that he was not allowed entry. When Adnan then tried to call Britney it seems that Sam had turned all of her cell phones off."

I don’t trust Adnan or Sam one bit! Britney needs Lynne; her mom is the only person she should trust right no. Lynne is the only one that can help Britney get the mental care that she desperately needs.

Amy Winehouse Chanels Marilyn Monroe

Amy Winehouse gets support from Marilyn Monroe while she completes her stay in rehab. Amy entered the North London detox center, Capio Nightingale Hospital, last Thursday, after video surfaced of the songstress smoking crack. Reportedly Amy has been glued to her Monroe films as she tries to overcome the symptoms of withdrawal.

Amy’s father Mitch told The Sun that, "Amy is very ill and is suffering horrific withdrawal symptoms - shivering and constantly throwing up. Her body is expelling all the rubbish. One thing helping Amy is her Marilyn Monroe films. Amy loves Some Like It Hot. She’s a huge fan of Monroe and thinks she’s wonderful."

Stay strong Amy; Do whatever it takes to get better...you’re worth it.

With the writer's strike still looming, I've been turning to YouTube for my entertainment fix. An avid fan of the '80's anime Voltron, I was pleasantly surprised top see that YouTube has an almost complete collection of Voltron vids readily available to satisfy my cravings for nostalgia...and for Lotor Prince of Doom.

inuyasha6996 has the largest supply of Voltron vids available on YouTube and possibly the entire net.

Beyonce To Play Etta James

Blackfilm.com reports that Beyonce is set to take on the role of legendary songstress Etta James. The film will be written and directed by Darnell Martin.

"The film explores Chicago in the 1950s, charting the colorful lives of American musical legends like Muddy Waters, Chess, Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf and Elvis Presley. Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright, Columbus Short, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Tammy Blanchard co-star."

Beyonce is good at what she does, but she's no Etta James. Christina Aguilera would totally rock the role of Etta. I know Christina isn't African American, but hey... she is Latina; with the right wig and a nice tan, she could definitely pass.

Hayden Panettiere Saves The Whales

Hayden sure loves those whales. The "Heroes" starlet, who was recently in Washington, D.C to promote her favorite cause, appeared on CNN to share her passion for "whale saving". Well, if we can't save Britney, we gotta save something; why not the whales! Hayden could sure show Paris and Lindsay a thing or two about giving back. Good job Hayden!

Lynne Spears was spotted at LAX late last night. Let's hope that her arrival in LA is to reconcile with Britney and to get her some help; that girl needs it bad!

Miss Michigan Takes The Crown!

Miss Michigan, Kirsten Haglund, won the title of Miss America on Saturday night in Las Vegas. The 19 year old Farmington Hills native sang “Over the Rainbow” in the talent competition and wore a black and gold bikini in the swimsuit portion to help her clinch the title. Haglund, who batted anorexia 3 years ago, says of the eating disorder, “I was a completely different person. It's not a pretty sight…You have to have curves. You can't look like a stick-thin model."

Haglund's reign will focus on raising awareness of eating disorders and helping the Children's Miracle Network. Kirsten Haglund is one Miss America who plans on making a difference.
