Vanity Fair Remembers Michael Jackson

Both Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett will be featured on the cover of the September issue of Vanity Fair. Fawcett will grace half of the covers and Jackson will feature on the remaining half.

The issue will be hitting newsstands on August 11th, but excerpts from both features have been released to the press. The articles touch on key themes from the two late superstars' lives, pieced together through quotations from friends and old sound bites from the celebs themselves.

These are excerpts from Jackson’s Vanity Fair issue.

On his love life: "No I don't date, no. I like girls and everything, but [laughs] … Oh, you think I'm one of those? No! I'm just not that interested right now." — Michael Jackson in February 1977

On dealing with fame: "And a lot of entertainers don't know this, but interviewers help entertainers 100%. I don't mean promotion-wise; I mean like when they ask you questions, it helps you to look at your future yourself." — Michael Jackson in February 1977

On the first mix of the Thriller album: "It was terrible. And I cried at the listening party. I said, 'I'm sorry — we can't release this.' … Everybody at the record company was screaming that we had to have it out and there was a deadline. … So we re-did a mix a day. … We were overworked, but it all came out OK." — Michael Jackson in 1984

On his plastic surgeries: "You know, many stars do that, but the press picks on certain people. I think if more people could afford it, they'd do it, too. I see nothing wrong with it. You have to feel good about yourself." —Janet Jackson in October 1986

On conflicts with family: "I've always tried to do everything first-class. Use people who are the best. But it was a different story with the family. And the fact that it was the biggest tour that ever happened, and my success had been so overwhelming, it's as if they're wanting to throw darts at you, too." — Michael Jackson in 1984 after the Jacksons' Victory Tour
Rest in peace Michael. We miss you.

Who's The Father Of Paris Jackson

Former child star and friend of Michael Jackson, Mark Lester, has stepped forward claiming that he is the father of the deceased star’s daughter, Paris Katherine Jackson.

In a recent interview, Lester claims that he secretly donated his sperm to help Michael have children even hiding the donation from his wife up until two weeks ago.

Mark Lester is willing to take a DNA test to prove his paternity, saying, "It's been a secret for so long."

Lester claims, "In 1996 Michael asked if I would give him my sperm. I said yes. It was a gift to him, no money was paid. I was honored to. He wanted children so badly."

Lester, an osteopathic doctor and acupuncture specialist, says he is only speaking out now because after Jackson's death he fears he will be cut off from Paris’ life.

Lester, who is also the godfather of all three of Michael's kids said, "With Michael's mother Katherine now their legal guardian it's like the kids are being isolated…Up until Michael's memorial I was in touch with them on a weekly basis… I'm the Godparent to them and Michael was Godparent to my four kids. Our families spent a lot of time together, had a lot fun together. Now I'm not able to have any communication with the children. This isn't what Michael would have wanted."

He goes on to say, "I want to have contact with her, Prince and Blanket regardless of whether any or all of them are mine."

Lester believes that he has a strong bond with Paris and that she strongly resembles his 15 year old daughter Harriet.

Mark said, "Paris is very pale, with blue eyes. All my daughters, apart from my eldest, are fair with blue eyes. So many people have commented on how alike Harriet and Paris look. Our families often holidayed together and staff, especially nannies, watching the children play together would say how similar the two girls looked."

Actually, Paris’ complexion is more olive than pale and her eyes are more gray than blue.

Lester continues, "I feel it's important. I love those kids so much. We've had great times together. I don't know if I'm doing the right thing speaking out. But I'm not trying to make any claim on anything. Even if it's proven Paris is biologically mine I wouldn't see her as anything other than Michael's daughter. He raised her."

If you really feel that way, why say anything at all. Just another leach trying to see what they can get.

Katherine Jackson Gives First Interview

The Jackson family matriarch, Katherine Jackson, recently gave her first interview since the death of her son, Michael Jackson.

Speaking on Geraldo at Large, Katherine denounced rumors that her estranged husband, Joe Jackson was a bad father and is an absentee grandparent.

Katherine said, "I don't know why they're saying he's not being allowed in the house. My husband's never done nothing of the sort that they trying to say he did 39 years ago. I don't understand that, and I just believe it's something that they cooked up."
When asked if Joe is a good grandfather, Katherine said, "Of course he is. And the children will tell you that he is."

When it comes to what role Dr. Conrad Murray played in Michael's death, Katherine is not presumptuous in her opinion. She states, "All I know is that my son is dead, and I don't think he just died of natural causes or whatever. He's too young for that. Something happened, I don't know what it was and I can't say."

Katherine was recently awarded custody of the deceased star’s the children, which is a good thing. Even with her reassuring words about Joe, I still have my reservations about him being around the kids.

Katherine Jackson Gets Custody

Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe are said to have come to an agreement allowing Katherine to have custody of Michael Jackson’s three children.

Katherine’s attorney, L. Londell McMillan, revealed that Debbie will retain hr parental rights and be allowed visitation with the two eldest children which she had with Michael however, she will not receive an increase in any monies already being paid to her from Jackson’s estate.

McMillian said in an interview on the Early Show, “It's an agreement, an agreement for the best interests of the children. This is not a money deal. This is not about money. … There is no situation better for these children than for them to be raised and reared in the loving care of Mrs. Katherine Jackson."

Paris and Michael are already aware that Debbie is their mother so maybe supervised visitation with her isn’t such a bad thing. Just make sure that they are kept away from Joe Jackson.

Michael Jackson May Have Fathered Another Son

In a recent interview, Joe Jackson admitted that Michael’s young protégé, Omer Bhatti, is in fact Michael’s son!

This isn’t the first time that rumors have circulated that Omer was the secret son of the King of Pop. If this is true, why would Michael keep it secret especially since he didn’t have an issue with the public knowing about his other children?

Joe says that Omer "looks like a Jackson, acts like a Jackson" and he can also dance like a Jackson.

We thinks Papa Joe is looking for more attention. The Jackson clan really needs to consider putting this man away somewhere

Debbie Rowe Undecided About Custody

Michael Jackson’s ex-wife, Debbie Rowe, is now expressing feelings of being unsure if she wants custody of the two children (Paris and Prince Michael) she had with the pop legend.
Debbie’s lawyer, Eric M. George told reporters during a press conference Thursday that Debbie has yet to make up her mind on the matter.
"Debbie Rowe has not reached a final decision concerning the custody proceedings…As many of you know, my belief is that the pending custody proceedings are the most private and the most sensitive of matters as they impact the lives and the fates of young children. To that end, I've endeavored out of respect for Michael's children and family, especially in this time of grieving, to keep silence on these matters, to deny all interview requests and to share only that information involving upcoming public court proceedings."
Maybe she’s torn about separating the kids from their younger brother (who is not her child) or she’s possibly just holding out for more cash from Katherine Jackson than she was getting from Michael.

Tickets To Michael Jackson's Funeral Up For Bid

After talk about charging fans $20.00 a pop to bid the music idol farewell, the promoter has announced that Michael Jackson’s funeral won’t cost fans a cent stating, “there will not be a charge for tickets". The funeral will be free!
Tickets will be available to for fans worldwide to win in a lottery! I’m sure people will eventually see them up for sale on EBay and Craigslist!
Michael’s funeral will take place on Tuesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The facility can seat 20,000 with about 10,000 being reserved for winners of the ticket lottery. It hasn't been revealed who will get the other 10,000 seats or if they will remain empty for the service.
I’m sure there will be plenty of fans that don't have tickets hanging around with the hopes of catching a glimpse if the proceedings.
No word on how they’re going to maintain the crowds. Hopefully there won’t be a stampede.
The Jackson family will have their own private service.

Lisa Marie Speaks Out

Lisa Marie Presley opened up on her MySpace blog to express her feelings upon learning of of the death of her ex husband, Michael Jackson.

Lisa Marie says:

"Years ago Michael and I were having a deep conversation about life in general.
I can't recall the exact subject matter but he may have been questioning me about the circumstances of my Fathers Death.
At some point he paused, he stared at me very intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, "I am afraid that I am going to end up like him, the way he did."
I promptly tried to deter him from the idea, at which point he just shrugged his shoulders and nodded almost matter of fact as if to let me know, he knew what he knew and that was kind of that.
14 years later I am sitting here watching on the news an ambulance leaves the driveway of his home, the big gates, the crowds outside the gates, the coverage, the crowds outside the hospital, the Cause of death and what may have led up to it and the memory of this conversation hit me, as did the unstoppable tears.
A predicted ending by him, by loved ones and by me, but what I didn't predict was how much it was going to hurt when it finally happened.
The person I failed to help is being transferred right now to the LA County Coroners office for his Autopsy.
All of my indifference and detachment that I worked so hard to achieve over the years has just gone into the bowels of hell and right now I am gutted.
I am going to say now what I have never said before because I want the truth out there for once.
Our relationship was not "a sham" as is being reported in the press. It was an unusual relationship yes, where two unusual people who did not live or know a "Normal life" found a connection, perhaps with some suspect timing on his part. Nonetheless, I do believe he loved me as much as he could love anyone and I loved him very much.
I wanted to "save him" I wanted to save him from the inevitable which is what has just happened.
His family and his loved ones also wanted to save him from this as well but didn't know how and this was 14 years ago. We all worried that this would be the outcome then.
At that time, In trying to save him, I almost lost myself.
He was an incredibly dynamic force and power that was not to be underestimated.
When he used it for something good, It was the best and when he used it for something bad, It was really, REALLY bad.
Mediocrity was not a concept that would even for a second enter Michael Jackson's being or actions.
I became very ill and emotionally/ spiritually exhausted in my quest to save him from certain self-destructive behavior and from the awful vampires and leeches he would always manage to magnetize around him.
I was in over my head while trying.
I had my children to care for, I had to make a decision.
The hardest decision I have ever had to make, which was to walk away and let his fate have him, even though I desperately loved him and tried to stop or reverse it somehow.
After the Divorce, I spent a few years obsessing about him and what I could have done different, in regret.
Then I spent some angry years at the whole situation.
At some point, I truly became Indifferent, until now.
As I sit here overwhelmed with sadness, reflection and confusion at what was my biggest failure to date, watching on the news almost play by play The exact Scenario I saw happen on August 16th, 1977 happening again right now with Michael (A sight I never wanted to see again) just as he predicted, I am truly, truly gutted.
Any ill experience or words I have felt towards him in the past has just died inside of me along with him.
He was an amazing person and I am lucky to have gotten as close to him as I did and to have had the many experiences and years that we had together.
I desperately hope that he can be relieved from his pain, pressure and turmoil now.
He deserves to be free from all of that and I hope he is in a better place or will be.
I also hope that anyone else who feels they have failed to help him can be set free because he hopefully finally is.
The World is in shock but somehow he knew exactly how his fate would be played out some day more than anyone else knew, and he was right.
I really needed to say this right now, thanks for listening.

The King of Pop has died!

Reportedly, Jackson suffered cardiac arrest sometime this afternoon. When paramedics arrived at Jackson's home, to find him without a pulse, he was rushed to the emergency room where attempts to resuscitate him failed

The Jackson Kids Come Out To Play

Michael Jackson's kids were snapped at a Las Vegas bookstore.

The former King of Pop and his little ones have been living at the Palms Hotel in Sin City recently. We rarely get a peek at Michael’s kids without their faces covered.

Cute kids—it’s a shame their dad is such a freak!

Neverland Is Saved!

Neverland Ranch has been rescued from foreclosure! Michael Jackson has refinanced Neverland just in time to save it from a public auction scheduled for March 19th.

Jackson attorney L. Londell McMillan said that the King of Crazy has worked out a "confidential" agreement with Fortress Investment Group, LLC.
"Neverland and MJ are fine," stated McMillan.

Jackson hasn’t been to the 2,500-acre estate since 2005. Now that Neverland has been saved, I wonder if Wacko Jacko is ready to call it home again.

Neverland May Have A Buyer

According to Real Estalker, 20-something "tycoons" have bid on Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch, which recently was up for foreclosure. The mystery buyers are willing to pay up to $30 million for the property that they would then lease the back to Jackson.

I don’t know why they would want to lease the property back to Jackson? It would make more sense to turn it into a tourist attraction or fix it up and flip it to another buyer.

Michael hasn’t even been to Neverland since 2005. I don’t think he wants to go back especially not as a tenant.

Goodbye Neverland!

Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch is up for sale. The sprawling Neverland estate is set to hit the auction block on March 19. The "King of Crazy" must drop down $24,525,906.61 by the sale date in order to save his home, which he hasn’t lived in or even been to since 2005.

The auction will go down live in front of the Santa Barbara county courthouse. They lucky buyer will get the house and everything inside which includes: fixtures, appliances, furniture, rides and games!

For just shy of $25 million, it’s like getting a miniature version of Dollywood. If I had the cash I’d buy it… for real.

Michael Jackson Shows Off His Kids

Michael Jackson was spotted at the Luxor Casino in Las Vegas, with his children, Paris and Prince Michael. Michael covered his face as usual, but the kids faces were in full view and shockingly they're really cute kids! I guess they would be considering that their dad wasn't bad looking until he mutilated his face with cosmetic surgery.

...But what gives? The King of Crazy normally dosen't allow his kid's faces to be seen let alone photographed. It’s been rumored that Michael is hard up for cash. I wouldn’t be surprised if he's pimping out photos of the kids to help pay the bills.

A Jackson Family Reunon

The Jackson Five is reuniting for a 2008 world tour. Jermaine Jackson said to reporters, “We feel we have to do it one more time. We owe that to the fans and to the public.”
Michael will definitely be a part of the tour and maybe even Janet.
Hey, what about Latoya and Rebie…they’re part of the family too.
