Britney Stays Put!

A federal judge ruled that the Britney Spears conservatorship case will stay at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Federal District Judge Philip Gutierrez ruled that civil rights' lawyer Jon Eardley — who claims to represent Brit — had "no authority" to remove the case from the state court to the federal system. The next conservatorship hearing is March 10.

Britney Gets To See Her Kids!

Kevin Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, announced on Friday that, "We're pleased that … the process of reinstating the children's mother as a participant in their lives can commence," adding that Britney would be able to see her children "very soon".

Britney will be allowed to visit with her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, in a therapeutic setting, as long as her is psychiatrist present.

Kudos go out to Brit’s dad (and conservator) Jamie for brokering the deal to obtain this breakthrough in the custody case. Kudos!

Jaime Spears Still Conservator

The hearing is over and the Commissioner in the Britney Spears' case extended her father Jamie's conservatorship until the next court hearing on March 10, 2008.

Britney's conservators still have the power over her financial affairs. Brit will also have to undergo a "730 Evaluation," which has to be turned in at their next hearing.
