Despite speculation that the revamped Superman franchise wouldn't come back, director Bryan Singer confirmed that the follow-up to Superman Returns is currently in development.
According to Singer, the next installment will be more action oriented. I assume that the will attempt to cater to newer, younger Superman fans. Adding more action is definitely not a bad thing but hopefully the essence of the story along with the romantic backdrop will stay intact.
